%X Precipitation-estimating satellites have a very useful tool to provide insufficient rainfall data in areas that have scarcity of rainy stations. The GPM (Global Precipitation Measurement) mission aims to estimate rainfall of light intensity of 0.5 mm/h, solid precipitation (snow) and microphysical properties of precipitation particles. From this, the aim of this work was to assess the accuracy of the GPM precipitation estimation in the UpperParaguay Basin, using rainfall data from three rainfall stations of the National Water Agency (ANA).It was found that the GPM data values were higher than those of the ANA, generating a RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) of approximately 90 mm / month.
